Bertolli Meal Soup for Dinner #BertolliMealSoup

I was presented with a cool opportunity to try Bertolli Meal Soup with my family and share my experience.  I have been looking forward to doing this with my family—and I couldn’t wait to try the soup.

024I was sent two coupons in the mail—for two free bags of Bertolli Meal Soup.  Each bag contained a serving for two.  I had four varieties to choose from: Chicken Minestrone, Roasted Chicken & Rotini Pasta, Tomato Florentine & Tortellini with Chicken, and Tuscan Style Beef & Vegetables.  For my family, I chose the Roasted Chicken & Rotini Pasta Soup, and picked up two bags to prepare for my children and myself.

I decided—it would be fun to serve the soup in bread bowls.  So while picking up the Bertolli Soup this afternoon, I went to the bakery section of my grocery store and found some sour dough bread that I was able use for the bowls.  Then it was back to the house to prepare the soup and serve some dinner.

I video taped the preparation which took about 35 minutes total to prepare and serve.  Please take a minute and watch my little production!!

Our over all impressions of the Bertolli Meal Soup were very positive.  My one son doesn’t like vegetables—but thought they tasted really good in this soup so he ate them. My younger son, isn’t typically a soup kid—but he ate half of his bowl of soup—which was more than I thought he would eat.  My daughters and I enjoyed the soup thoroughly!!  I will say that because we served the soup in bread bowls, we ended up with more than 4 servings—we ended up with 6 servings.  Perhaps those bread bowls I used did not hold an entire serving—but they filled us up!!

I will try the other varieties that Bertolli offers at some point.  I think that our soup night was a success!!

Have you tried Bertolli Meal Soups?

What were your impressions?

Cheers,
