Simple Goals

I love making goals.  There is nothing more satisfying than to “check off” the goals I’ve set for myself as I move through life. I usually have to have my goals listed out—posted on the wall in front of my desk—so I can see them daily, set a course to achieve them, and watch them become reality.  I guess I’m not alone when it comes to this—so I am sure many of you can understand that “feeling” I get when I’m able to successfully mark them off the list as “accomplished”.

I’ve set up three specific goals for myself this spring. I’m hoping that I am able to mark them off the list.  The first goal I’ve set is to get healthy.  The last month has been horrible, between ear infections, stomach viruses and the respiratory flu. I am sick of being sick—and I need to be healthy again.  This goal is my first priority because the other goals won’t get achieved if I don’t have my health.

Once I’ve got numero uno checked off the list I plan initiate goal numero dos. I plan to hit every room in this house and clean it out, top to bottom, front to back, and purging just about everything in my path.   I am the queen of ditching things so once I get started with this project—I will cease to upset everyone in my house that can’t part with their space-taking stuff. I plan to simplify each room to its bare essentials.  The last time I did this—I about went crazy from the moans and groans of my offspring—but if I have goal number one taken care of—I can totally deal!!

Finally, once I get the second goal accomplished—I plan to hit the sunshine state for a few days.  That’s right—I have plans to take my camera a few other essentials and go visit my family (especially Grandma) and take a bunch of pictures, relax on a beach, and hang out with some of my best friends!!  Sound like fun??  The plan for this trip includes saving the money required to take the trip.  So yes, this plan has to start almost simultaneously with goal number one, but I’m totally up for the challenge.

How about you?

Any plans for the spring?

Cheers,
