Dancing

couple-dancingToday in the A-Z Challenge and simultaneously for the GBE2 challenge I’m going to post about one of my favorite subjects, Dancing!!

One of the things I love to do the most is dance.  There is something about dancing that just seems to set my spirit free.  I’ve had very little formal dance training—yet I seem to pick up on the latest dance steps and moves quite easily.  Dancing for me is not so much about the formality of it—as much as it is about my desire to freely express my inner joy.  With that said, I can dance to just about any music that so moves me.

The romantic in me loves to slow dance with my husband. What is more romantic than slow dancing with the love of your life? I can’t think of anything, really.  We don’t get to do this as often as we’d like, but when we do, we seize our moment!

girls dancingI love to fast dance (is that what they call it?). In my younger days—it was just the first few beats of a good song which would put me out on the dance floor.  Nowadays, I’m a bit more self conscious, and I need the prompting of a glass or four of my favorite wine before I will grace my presence on the dance floor. I will dance to rock, pop, country, and hip hop—any sort of music really—just pour me a few first!

I know how to line dance, waltz, foxtrot, and ball room dance. I haven’t done any of these in ages.  It has been so long that I would probably look like a goofball for trying—so I don’t.  Ha! Ha!  Okay—Yes, I can still do the electric slide!!

Sorry—but to watch this you have to click through to YouTube. (Sigh).

What about you?  Do you like to dance?

What type of dancing is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!!

Cheers,

I used to know several line dances, but it's been years. I do love to dance, too.
