Rain

Wine-n-Chat is participating in the A to Z Challenge for the Month of April.  Today is letter R.

We are really enjoying our vacation in the Sunshine State, however we are hard pressed to find the sun!  We went to one beach today, only to encounter a down pour of rain.  Then we found a place to have lunch, and decided to drive south to another beach.  Thankfully, the sun was out there—with some moderate clouds. 

The forecast calls for rain every day here until we leave, Sunday is supposed to be the worst with severe weather.  Not exactly what we were envisioning when we planned our trip to Florida.  Hoping we can see a little of the sun when we head to another beach tomorrow and definitely on Monday when we go to Disney World.  Have to make my son’s first trip to the Magical Kingdom a memorable one.

The one thing I will say about the rain—is that I love the smell!!  I sat on the porch this evening, while a light rain moved through, bringing that wonderful  fresh clean scent with it.  For some reason that smell was more prevalent here than at home when it rains, and I’m not sure why that is?  I do know one thing, it was heavenly!!
