Living the Dream!

So I am sure many of my readers and faithful followers are wondering just where the heck I disappeared to?  (Okay, Okay—maybe I’d just like to think that my friends are wondering—they probably aren’t—but let’s pretend and let me have my special little moment). 

I am still here!! I promise.  Thank you to any of you who still come by and read me.  And for those of you who know my current situation—thanks for being patient!  I know my posts have been sporadic and few and far in between.  I also realize I haven’t been coming by to read my friends’ blogs. No worries!! It is all about to change!! YAY!!  In two more days, busy season with work will be officially over—well for about a month anyway!! This means lots of time to visit my friends’ blogs and read their posts. (Chances are—that means you!)  I will welcome the break from busy season…and I’m excited to get in the swing of blogging again!!  I’m excited to get back into the blogging mode again!

But that is NOT the reason for this post!  No.  Do you remember when I blogged back in May about chasing my dream of becoming a foster mom to schnauzers?  If you don’t remember or are new, click here to read about one of my many dreams in life.  Anyway, I have fur-tastic news!!  I have been approved to be a foster mom with Schnauzer Friends for Rescue and Adoption (SFRA)!!  I received the approval email yesterday and I’m just waiting to make it official by signing my name on the Foster Mom Contract once I receive it!! I can not tell you just how excited I am!!  In a few short weeks, I will be living the dream!

So two things are going to happen.  One—I will be blogging more and more about my fur friends!!  YAY!  Second, I will be selling prints of my photography and portion of the money I make from the sales will be donated to SFRA to help this organization. They are an all volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and they depend on donations and volunteers to keep operational.  And even more good news?  I am going to be creating a website where I can not only sell my photography online, but I can also blog about my fur-friends in the same place.  It will take a bit of time to get it up and running, so look for some links to my new site around mid-July!

Oh wait—a third thing is going to happen.  I will be celebrating Friday night with a glass bottle of Merlot!!  I just can not wait to celebrate!!
